Ember & Etch Studio is a creative studio specializing in hand-poured candles and custom engraved goods. We blend warmth, craftsmanship, and thoughtful design to create pieces meant to be used, gifted, and cherished.
Is Ember & Etch Studio the same as Firrescents?
Yes — Firrescents has evolved into Ember & Etch Studio. While our name has changed, the heart behind our candles remains the same. Ember & Etch allows us to expand our offerings beyond scent into handcrafted, engraved items.
Candle Questions
What are your candles made from?
Our candles are hand-poured using high-quality soy wax and only soy wax, premium fragrance oils, and carefully selected wicks for a clean, consistent burn. We use Eco and CD wicks.
Are your candles hand-poured?
Yes. Every candle is hand-poured in small batches to ensure quality, attention to detail, and consistency.
How should I care for my candle?
For best results:

Trim the wick to ¼” before each burn

Allow the wax to melt to the edges on the first burn

Never burn longer than 4 hours at a time
Do you offer seasonal or limited-edition scents?
Yes! We regularly release seasonal collections and limited runs. Availability may vary, so we recommend joining our email list to stay updated.

What types of items do you engrave?
We engrave a variety of materials including wood, leather, glass, slate, and select metals, depending on the product.
Do you offer custom engraving?
Yes! Many of our etched products can be personalized with names, dates, or short messages. Custom options are noted on each applicable product page.
Can I request a completely custom design?
We love custom projects. If you have a specific idea or bulk request, please reach out through our contact page and we’ll let you know what’s possible.
Orders & Shipping
How long does it take to process an order?
Most orders are processed within 3–7 business days. Custom or personalized items may require additional time.
Do you ship nationwide?
Yes, we ship throughout the United States. Shipping options and rates are calculated at checkout.
Can I order candles and engraved items together?
Absolutely. Our shop is designed so you can mix and match candles and etched goods in one order.
Returns & Care
Do you accept returns?
Because many of our items are handmade or personalized, returns are evaluated on a case-by-case basis. Please contact us if there is an issue with your order.
What if my item arrives damaged?
If your order arrives damaged, please contact us within 48 hours with photos, and we’ll make it right.
Wood Care
How do I care for my wooden piece?
Our products are finished with natural oils, not sealers. Simply wipe clean with a dry or lightly damp cloth and avoid soaking or dishwashers.
Can I use water on it?
Light moisture is fine, but prolonged exposure to water is not recommended. Always dry thoroughly and avoid submerging.
Do I need to oil it?
Occasional conditioning with food-safe mineral oil or wood butter will help maintain the wood’s warmth and protect it over time.
Will the wood change color?
Yes—and that’s part of the beauty. Natural wood develops a richer tone and character as it’s used and cared for.
