Ideas Taking Shape in the Workshop
One of the questions we get asked most at markets is:
“What’s next for Ember & Etch?”
And honestly… sometimes the answer is sitting unfinished on a workbench.
Sometimes it’s a sketch.
A partially engraved board.
A scent blend we’re still testing.
Or simply an idea we keep coming back to.
That’s one of the things we love most about creating this brand.
It’s always evolving.
The Boards We’re Beginning to Imagine
Lately, we’ve been quietly working through ideas for future board collections and one-of-a-kind engraved pieces.
Some are coastal inspired.
Some lean deeper into cabin warmth and woodland atmosphere.
Others focus on family gatherings, slow living, and meaningful spaces inside the home.
And while not every idea makes it to production, we think that’s part of the process too.
The workshop is full of:
unfinished concepts,
test engravings,
new layouts,
wood species we want to explore,
and moments where creativity starts pulling the brand in new directions.
Collections We’re Exploring
Some of the ideas currently taking shape include:
Expanded 302 Vibe Boards
More marsh scenes.
Wildlife.
Bridge silhouettes.
Coastal textures.
Quiet Delaware moments.
Pieces that feel tied to salt air and familiar shorelines.
Legacy Boards
Boards designed more like heirloom pieces:
family names,
meaningful phrases,
gathering-centered engravings,
and designs meant to feel timeless.
Not trendy.
Not mass-produced.
Just intentional.
Cabin & Woodland Atmosphere
A collection inspired by:
smoked woods,
northern wildlife,
quiet forests,
mountain warmth,
and slower evenings.
The kind of boards that feel like they belong beside candlelight and old cabins.
Everyday Serving Pieces
Smaller functional boards and trays with simpler engravings designed for everyday use.
Not every piece needs to be elaborate.
Sometimes the simplest designs become the most used.
Why We Don’t Rush Ideas
One thing we’ve learned through this rebrand is that not every idea needs to become a product immediately.
Some concepts sit for weeks before they finally feel right.
Others evolve completely into something unexpected.
And honestly, we prefer building slowly this way.
It allows the collections to feel intentional instead of rushed.
Every new series should feel like it belongs within the world Ember & Etch is creating:
warmth,
craft,
atmosphere,
and meaningful living.
The Best Part of the Process
The best part is knowing many of these ideas are still becoming something.
Some may eventually appear at future markets.
Some may quietly become one-of-a-kind releases.
And some may never leave the workshop at all.
But that creative process —
the testing,
the experimenting,
the imagining —
is part of the story too.
And we’re excited to keep sharing pieces of that journey as Ember & Etch continues to grow.
